The Austrian Bundesliga's 2026-27 runner-up market remains tightly contested because Red Bull Salzburg continues to dominate title expectations, leaving the remaining sides in a wide-open battle for second. Pre-season transfer activity, squad depth, and recent form across clubs such as Sturm Graz, Rapid Wien, Austria Wien, and Wolfsberger AC have produced no decisive separation, with each side viewed as capable of capitalizing on a strong start or favorable schedule. Historical patterns show the race for runner-up often hinges on consistency over the long campaign, home/away splits, and European commitments that can affect league focus. Traders reflect this parity through closely aligned probabilities, underscoring how injuries, managerial adjustments, or mid-season momentum shifts could quickly reorder the standings.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Austrian Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Austrian Bundesliga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Austrian Bundesliga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
