Coco Gauff and world No. 2 Elena Rybakina are set to meet in the National Bank Open quarterfinals on Toronto hard courts, where both players have advanced with recent victories. Rybakina, coming off an Australian Open title and consistent 2026 results including Stuttgart, has shown resilience in three-set wins over Samsonova and others while relying on her powerful serve and aggressive baseline play. Gauff, ranked No. 4 with a strong hard-court record and deep runs at majors, has cruised through her Toronto draw with efficient wins and brings superior return and movement. Their limited head-to-head favors Gauff, but Rybakina’s current ranking edge and serving advantage shape trader views on this high-level WTA 1000 matchup.
