Tommy Paul enters as the clear market favorite against Dino Prizmic at the 2026 US Open second round, reflecting his higher ranking (No. 21), deeper major experience, and strong hard-court record. The American rallied from a first-set deficit to beat Coleman Wong in four sets, maintaining solid recent form and expressing strong motivation to advance further at his home Slam than his career-best fourth round. Prizmic, ranked around No. 101-102 and coming off a grueling five-set first-round win over Aleksandr Shevchenko that lasted nearly four hours, brings upside as a 21-year-old with a prior hard-court Challenger victory over Paul and recent ATP-level progress despite earlier hip issues. Fatigue from the marathon match and limited Grand Slam depth remain key variables for the Croatian. Trader consensus centers on Paul’s consistency and situational edge on outdoor hard courts.
