Hugo Grenier holds a significant experience and ranking edge over Mees Rottgering in this Winston-Salem Open qualifying final on outdoor hard courts. The 30-year-old Frenchman, ranked No. 258 with a career-high of No. 95, brings ATP-level match play and strong recent qualifying results, including a straight-sets win in the first round. Rottgering, a 19-year-old Wake Forest standout ranked No. 418 and fresh off a dominant 6-1, 6-0 debut victory, relies on college momentum and hard-court form but faces his first major test against a veteran. Both players secured comfortable opening wins on the same surface, making serve consistency, return pressure, and fatigue management the primary variables in what projects as a competitive qualifier for main-draw entry.
