The tight WSOP Player of the Year race reflects a bunched leaderboard after the Las Vegas series concluded, with Shaun Deeb, Naoya Kihara, and William Foxen separated by just 29 points at the top. Only a player’s best 15 results count across WSOP Europe, Las Vegas, and the upcoming Paradise festival in December, so consistent high-stakes cashes and final tables from multiple contenders—including Eelis Pärssinen’s two bracelets and strong showings by Nicholas Schulman, Joshua Arieh, and Benny Glaser—have kept margins narrow. Recent deep runs in mixed games and high rollers continue to shift small point totals, while the remaining Paradise events offer clear upside for anyone still in striking distance of the leaders.
