The UEFA Europa League league phase opens with 36 clubs each contesting eight matches against a balanced mix of seeded opponents, leaving the race for most goals wide open in the absence of any results. Pre-season expectations center on attacking depth at sides such as Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, AC Milan, and Juventus, whose domestic form and forward options have historically produced high tallies in European fixtures. Yet comparable schedules for AZ Alkmaar, Viktoria Plzeň, Union Saint-Gilloise, and several mid-tier sides create parity, with no club holding a decisive edge in fixture difficulty or recent scoring trends. Trader consensus therefore clusters tightly, reflecting uncertainty over which squad will convert its opportunities most efficiently across the full schedule.
