Ben Johns holds the highest implied probability among named contenders for the top spot in the new PPA World Pickleball Rankings at season’s end, yet the market remains tightly bunched because several players demonstrate elite results across the composite weighting of men’s doubles, mixed doubles, and singles. Recent tournament play shows Johns and Gabriel Tardio maintaining strong form in doubles while Federico Staksrud, Christopher Haworth, and Hunter Johnson trade singles leads, with younger athletes such as Hayden Patriquin and Christian Alshon posting consistent podium finishes. The 2026–27 system’s emphasis on 14 best results across disciplines rewards versatility rather than dominance in one event, and early-season depth means any of the top group can accumulate decisive points depending on schedule strength and injury management. Trader consensus reflects this parity among established stars and rising challengers.
