The June 2, 2026, nonpartisan primary for California's 14th Congressional District produced early results showing Aisha Wahab leading with approximately 38 percent of the vote and Melissa Hernandez in second place near 17 percent, positioning both Democrats to advance under the state's top-two system. Republican candidates Wendy Huang and Dena Maldonado trailed in the low-to-mid teens, with the remainder of the field further behind as counting reached 93 percent. The outcome reflects the district's strong Democratic lean and candidate positioning ahead of the general election. A separate special primary is scheduled for June 16 to fill the seat on an accelerated timeline, with several overlapping candidates.
