This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 2 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 2; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026-27 Ligue 2 campaign opened with a tightly bunched field after the first matchday, as several clubs with recent top-flight experience—Metz, Nantes, Saint-Étienne, Reims, and Montpellier—share the division with established sides such as Guingamp, Laval, Annecy, Dunkerque, Grenoble, Rodez, and Red Star. Saint-Étienne, Metz, Dunkerque, Annecy, and Rodez each collected maximum points in their openers, while Nantes and Reims dropped points, underscoring early parity. Automatic promotion for the top two plus playoffs for third through fifth keeps the runner-up spot wide open, with squad depth, summer recruitment, and fixture congestion likely to determine which contender pulls clear over the long 34-match schedule.
