The 2026-27 Ligue 1 runner-up market reflects broad parity among PSG’s domestic rivals ahead of the August 23 kickoff. With PSG projected to claim a sixth straight title on superior squad depth and resources, multiple clubs—including Marseille, Lyon, Monaco, Lens, Lille, and Rennes—enter with comparable mid-tier squad strengths, European ambitions, and recent top-four pedigree. Summer transfers have produced incremental reinforcements across the group without creating a clear hierarchy, while last season’s fluctuating form, managerial tweaks, and inconsistent results among these sides have left traders pricing second place as highly contestable. No team has posted decisive preseason momentum or roster upgrades to separate from the pack, sustaining the tight clustering around 44-49% implied probabilities.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 1 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
