St. Louis Shock enters the Toray MLP Playoffs quarterfinals in Newport Beach as the No. 2 seed after a dominant regular season that included winning the mid-season tournament and finishing with 111 points. The team faces the No. 8 Texas Ranchers, who advanced from the opening playoff round with 48 points and sit at the bottom of the top-eight field. The best-of-three series begins August 14 at the Tennis and Pickleball Club, with higher seeds having swept all Round 1 matchups elsewhere. St. Louis brings strong recent form and depth across men's, women's, and mixed doubles, while Texas will need standout performances and potential upsets in individual matches to extend the series. Trader consensus reflects the wide gap in standings and momentum heading into the neutral-site quarterfinal.
