Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive opened pre-orders in June 2026 for Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 at a standard edition price of $79.99, with the Ultimate Edition listed at $99.99, marking the first major AAA title to exceed the longstanding $69.99 benchmark amid rising development costs. This retailer and PlayStation Store data has anchored market-implied odds heavily toward the $70–$80 range ahead of the confirmed November 19, 2026 console launch. Traders are watching for any last-minute bundle adjustments or regional variations, though historical patterns for Rockstar releases suggest minimal changes once pre-orders activate. Competitive pressure from other high-budget titles and platform holder expectations could still influence final positioning before resolution.
