Dune: Part Three leads trader sentiment for the 2027 Oscars Best Visual Effects category at 60.5% implied probability, buoyed by the franchise's prior wins in the category and early footage highlighting its ambitious scale under Denis Villeneuve. Other high-profile 2026 releases such as Project Hail Mary, The Odyssey, and Godzilla Minus Zero sit lower at 13% and below, reflecting strong VFX expectations but less franchise momentum. Many listed titles hover around 50% amid limited release information. With most contenders still in production or pre-release, traders are pricing in historical patterns where sequels with proven technical teams often dominate, while watching for guild signals and final visual showcases closer to the December 2026 release window.
