Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the market at 72 percent as leader of the Parti Québécois, which holds a consistent polling edge of 30-31 percent ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election. Recent surveys place the party ahead of the Quebec Liberal Party under Charles Milliard and the governing Coalition Avenir Québec, now led by Christine Fréchette following her April 2026 leadership victory over Bernard Drainville. Plamondon’s outreach to anglophone voters and emphasis on competence have reinforced trader views of a viable path to the premiership, while minor-party leaders such as Ruba Ghazal, Éric Duhaime, and Sol Zanetti register negligible support. The implied probabilities reflect the current standing of party leaders and the short timeline to election day.
