Recent primary results have set the November general election matchup in Montana’s 1st Congressional District between Democratic nominee Sam Forstag and Republican nominee Aaron Flint for the open seat vacated by retiring Representative Ryan Zinke. Forstag, a smokejumper and union leader, prevailed in a competitive Democratic primary, while Flint, a conservative radio host backed by President Trump, secured the Republican nomination. The district’s recent electoral history shows modest Republican margins, and traders’ consensus reflected in current pricing positions Democrats as the frontrunner based on candidate profiles and district dynamics ahead of the November 3 contest.
