New Jersey 5s enter as the top seed and regular-season points leader behind Anna Leigh Waters’ elite mixed and women’s doubles play alongside additions like Federico Staksrud, while St. Louis Shock counters with a balanced roster featuring four of the league’s top performers in Anna Bright, Kate Fahey, Hayden Patriquin, and Gabe Tardio. The teams split their four 2026 regular-season meetings 2-2, with recent results including New Jersey’s 3-1 win in Orlando to clinch the top seed and St. Louis’ mid-season tournament sweep of the 5s. Both clubs swept semifinal series in New York, setting up Match 1 at City Pickle in Central Park under a best-of-three format that includes DreamBreakers.
