**Sebastian Baez and Hubert Hurkacz meet in the final of the 2026 Cancun Country Open Challenger on hard courts.** Baez, the top seed ranked around No. 53, has looked sharp throughout the event, dropping just one set while overpowering Coleman Wong and Lloyd Harris in straight sets. Hurkacz, a wildcard seeded third and ranked near No. 69, has advanced steadily after recovering from wrist surgery, posting convincing wins over Roman Safiullin and Moez Echargui while showing improved serving and movement. Their limited head-to-head favors the taller Pole, whose power and reach have historically troubled Baez on quicker surfaces, though Baez holds a stronger recent hard-court record. The outcome hinges on whether Hurkacz’s experience and serve hold up against Baez’s consistency and tournament momentum.
