Sinner holds a clear edge in the 2026 Grand Slam race due to Alcaraz’s prolonged right wrist injury, which has sidelined the Spaniard since April and caused him to miss the French Open and Wimbledon entirely. Alcaraz captured the Australian Open early in the year for his seventh major, but Sinner has since defended his Wimbledon crown—his fifth overall—while compiling a 44-3 record and multiple Masters titles. With the US Open remaining and Sinner in peak form on hard courts, traders see limited opportunity for Alcaraz to close the gap upon return. The Italian’s consistency and health advantage underpin the 64% implied probability he finishes with more 2026 majors.
