The 2026 Uruguayan Primera División relegation battle for 13th place remains tightly contested because multiple clubs sit within a narrow band on the two-season promedio table, with recent Clausura results and aggregate points keeping several sides level on or near the cutoff. Peñarol, Boston River, Deportivo Maldonado, Danubio, Defensor Sporting, Racing Club de Montevideo, Liverpool FC (Montevideo), Cerro Largo, Cerro, Juventud, Montevideo City Torque, Albion, Central Español, and Montevideo Wanderers all carry comparable records after the opening weeks of the second half of the campaign, while Nacional and Progreso trail slightly in implied positioning. Ongoing matches, goal difference, and head-to-head outcomes continue to shift margins without establishing separation, reflecting the league's balanced mid-table dynamics and the absence of decisive form swings in the latest fixtures.
