The All Blacks’ emphatic 33-16 victory in the opening Test of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry at Ellis Park has anchored trader consensus around New Zealand’s series dominance. Dominant performances against provincial sides in Cape Town, Durban, and Pretoria showcased superior attacking width and set-piece execution, while South Africa’s first-Test display highlighted lineout inaccuracies and limited breakdown threat. With two remaining home Tests and a neutral-site decider in Baltimore, the market reflects the All Blacks’ current form edge and historical series success against the Springboks. Late injuries to key forwards, a sudden Springboks resurgence through improved kicking accuracy, or extreme weather in Cape Town could still narrow the gap, though such shifts appear low-probability based on recent results.
