Alexei Popyrin faces Titouan Droguet in Cincinnati Open qualifying on outdoor hard courts, marking their first meeting. Popyrin brings greater main-tour experience and a 2024 hard-court title in Montreal, while Droguet has compiled solid recent results primarily at Challenger level. Both players enter after recent North American swing action, with Popyrin’s higher-level exposure and serve-oriented game typically suiting fast surfaces. No significant injuries or withdrawals have been reported for either side ahead of the match, keeping focus on baseline consistency and return performance under qualifying pressure. The outcome determines advancement deeper into the qualifying draw.
