Petr Nesterov enters the Sion Challenger first-round matchup against Calvin Hemery with stronger recent form and momentum on the ATP Challenger circuit. The 23-year-old Bulgarian has posted a 54-26 record over the past year, climbing to a career-high singles ranking of No. 301 in August 2026 while converting break opportunities efficiently on clay. Hemery, a 31-year-old Frenchman with a career-high ranking of No. 116, has struggled with a 2-10 win-loss mark in recent activity and sits outside the top 300. Limited head-to-head history leaves surface-specific results and current fitness as key variables, with both players appearing healthy ahead of the scheduled start. Nesterov’s higher win rate in lower-tier events provides the primary edge reflected in trader positioning.
