Jiri Lehecka, the world No. 12, brings superior 2026 results into this Cincinnati Open hard-court matchup, including a maiden Masters 1000 final appearance in Miami and a 25-15 seasonal record, though he exited early in Montreal. Matteo Berrettini, ranked around No. 40 with a 14-12 mark, arrives after a gritty three-set comeback victory over Titouan Droguet to reach the second round, building on his French Open quarterfinal run earlier in the year. Both players favor hard courts, with Lehecka holding the edge in recent consistency and ranking while Berrettini seeks to extend a modest resurgence on the North American swing.
