Ram and Salisbury bring extensive hard-court experience and recent momentum from their Cincinnati Open doubles title run into this first-round matchup on outdoor hard courts. The veteran American-British duo has shown strong form in August, leveraging Salisbury’s net play and Ram’s consistency against a variety of pairings. Doumbia and Reboul, the second seeds, arrive with solid 2026 results including a Bucharest title on clay and positive hard-court showings in Cincinnati, where they advanced without dropping early sets. Surface transition, recent match load, and the pair’s aggressive baseline style versus the favorites’ experience define the key variables for traders assessing implied probabilities.
