This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 American League Rookie of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Kevin McGonigle's commanding lead in the AL Rookie of the Year market reflects his elite all-around production for the Detroit Tigers, including a .286/.391/.428 slash line through 116 games, more walks than strikeouts, and leading all rookies in bWAR and fWAR while playing premium defense at shortstop. The 21-year-old prospect has topped monthly expert polls since June and earned All-Star honors, establishing a clear edge over the field in the eyes of traders. Munetaka Murakami of the Chicago White Sox sits second with 28 home runs and strong isolated power, yet trails significantly due to a .235 average and less overall impact. Pitchers such as Parker Messick and position players like Kazuma Okamoto remain long shots amid McGonigle's sustained momentum.
