Tom Pelphrey’s 45.5% market lead for the 2026 Emmy in Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series stems from strong critical praise for his intense turn as a desperate single father in the HBO crime drama “Task,” positioning him as a compelling upset candidate against the “The Pitt” bloc. Patrick Ball sits at 29.5% on the strength of his layered portrayal of Dr. Frank Langdon navigating recovery in the medical series’ second season, which earned 25 total nominations and leads the drama race. Shawn Hatosy follows at 16% after his prior guest win, while Jack Lowden, Billy Crudup, and Carlos-Manuel Vesga trail on established industry profiles. With three “The Pitt” nominees in the field and final voting concluded, traders see vote-splitting risks boosting Pelphrey ahead of the September 14 ceremony.
