The FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind opens the FedExCup Playoffs with a deep top-70 field where recent regular-season results and the just-concluded Wyndham Championship have produced no dominant frontrunner. Defending champion Justin Rose returns alongside World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, reigning FedExCup champion Tommy Fleetwood, and consistent ball-strikers such as Matt Fitzpatrick and Collin Morikawa, all of whom post strong course histories or current form. The layout rewards precision off the tee and approach play without favoring any one stylistic profile, while the large contingent of in-form contenders—including Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Ludvig Åberg—keeps implied probabilities tightly bunched as traders weigh the unpredictable nature of a single playoff event.
