The Thunder Bay, Ontario mayoral race for the October 26, 2026 vote features an open seat after incumbent Ken Boshcoff opted not to run, producing a crowded field of candidates with comparable municipal, business, and community experience. Trader consensus on Polymarket shows a tight contest, with Aldo Ruberto, Trevor Giertuga, and Moe Comuzzi clustered near the top and the remainder of the field trailing. Recent nomination certification and the early campaign period have not yet yielded public polling or major differentiators, while a CBC survey highlights homelessness, encampments, crime, and infrastructure as leading voter concerns. Separation could emerge from candidate positioning on these issues, scheduled debates, or shifts in local turnout patterns ahead of election day.
