**The municipal elections in Ústí nad Labem, scheduled for October 9–10, 2026, feature an open race for mayor following incumbent Petr Nedvědický’s (ANO) decision not to seek re-election.** Multiple parties and coalitions are fielding candidates, producing a fragmented field that keeps implied probabilities closely matched around the 50% level for many names and the “Other” category. Tomáš Vohryzka leads the broad opposition coalition Jedno Ústí (including STAN, Piráti, TOP 09, Zelení, and local groups), positioning himself around city services and attractiveness to investors. Michal Mohr heads the SPD ticket as a sitting deputy mayor, emphasizing local social and housing issues. Radim Bzura leads the ODS–KDU-ČSL Spolu pro Ústí slate, focusing on infrastructure and returning to prior governing experience. ANO continues to participate without its current mayor at the top of the ticket. Recent summer 2026 announcements of candidate lists and coalitions have highlighted competing visions on development, housing affordability, and public services without yet producing a dominant frontrunner. The absence of an incumbent advantage, combined with parallel parliamentary election results showing ANO strength locally, sustains trader uncertainty. Further separation could emerge from formal candidate registrations, public debates, or late polling shifts on turnout and coalition viability in the weeks before voting.
