Apple faces upward pressure on iPhone 18 Pro pricing from sharply higher DRAM and NAND memory costs driven by AI server demand, with some components rising 200-400% year-over-year and pushing bill-of-materials estimates up roughly 25-38%. The iPhone 17 Pro launched at $1,099, but analysts project the 2026 Pro models could start between $1,099 (if Apple absorbs costs via supplier negotiations, its own C-series modem, and other savings) and $1,299-$1,399 (to protect margins, per recent TrendForce, IDC, and TechInsights views). Apple has already raised Mac and iPad prices while holding iPhones steady, with CEO Tim Cook acknowledging increases as "unavoidable" yet mitigable. The foldable iPhone Ultra, expected alongside at $2,000+, may help segment premium demand. The key catalyst remains Apple's September 9 launch event, where official U.S. starting prices will be revealed.
