This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Alabama. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Alabama, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**The non-competitive nature of the open-seat Alabama U.S. Senate race between Republican nominee Barry Moore and Democrat Everett Wess, rated solidly Republican by multiple forecasters with a projected margin exceeding 20 points, anchors trader expectations for total general election turnout near 1.5–1.7 million votes.** Recent primary and runoff participation—23% in May and just 10.7% in June, both below 2022 levels—signals limited voter enthusiasm in a state where midterm general turnout has historically hovered around 37% of eligible voters. With Alabama’s registered voter base exceeding 3.8 million and no major late-cycle developments or national catalysts evident, the tight distribution across the leading bins reflects uncertainty over baseline mobilization by both parties ahead of November 3. Factors such as get-out-the-vote efforts, Election Day weather, or unexpected campaign events could widen the range by altering participation among Republican-leaning rural voters or Democratic strongholds in urban and northern counties.
